Wheel Alignment
Wheel Alignment is critical for maximum wear and performance from your tire. Poor alignment is defined as your vehicles suspension and steering systems becoming out of adjustment with each other. The biggest indicators are your vehicle "pulling" to the right or left while driving or unusual tire wear. Improper tire inflation can also lead to unusual tire wear.
Your vehicle may have 2 wheel or 4 wheel alignment specifications. Our service staff can advise you on which alignment is right for your vehicle.
Wheel Balance
A tire that is out of balance often affects ride quality and can shorten the life expectancy of your tires, bearings, shocks, struts and other suspension components. Normally a customer will feel their steering wheel or vehicle shake or shimmy as the wheel vibrates. A speed dependent-vibration becoming noticeable above 45 miles per hour and increasing as speed increases is probably balance related.
We use computerized wheel balance and alignment machines for very accurate measurements and adjustments.
Struts and Shocks
Your struts and shock cushion and dampen the bumps in the road, they prevent your tires from essentially bouncing down the road.
Over time they can welcome weak from wear or leaks that occur so gradually you are not aware of the degraded ride quality.
Replacing these components can make your vehicle ride like new.
This picture illustrates how poor alignment can impact tire wear. You can see how the tire is more on the edge of its tread when camber is out of specification.
